Article by Marlen Mendoza

The dream of owning a small business such as a coffee shop can be extremely rewarding and terrifying at the same time. The restless nights, the stack of bills on the kitchen table, the never ending to do list!

With that being said, the community supporting the small business industry, the business to people interaction, and the great satisfaction of calling something your own.. is absolutely worth it.

Here at the collective, we are hosting a platform for the new coffee shops opening in 2019. We will periodically update this list throughout the year so keep a look out for more shops to come!

Food is identity, with 100% Kona coffee grown and hand-picked from our farm, and recipes from our backgrounds of Houston, Hawaii, and Vietnam. Food is understanding and acceptance. Eating is the universal experience. We want to share with you the foods of our history, and to hear your stories, and to see you full and happy. Mahalo!”
