Hiring baristas at Luna Coffee

Luna Coffee started back in December of 2023. From just a brash idea, it has quickly evolved into where it resides today; a 1957 Airstream Trailer parked right outside of Intuitive Machines. Our Mission as Luna baristas is to serve Houston Spaceport's workers and our surrounding Space Community. We push to serve Beyond Expectations.

More about the job;

Our hours are 6 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. We are looking for a handful of experienced baristas that are well knowledgeable in their craft. Baristas selected will preferably have a year of experience but Luna is also focused on the work ethic of the individual themselves who are eager to learn and grow as a barista. Starting pay is as shown (plus tips) but, baristas will be selected based on qualifications shown below. Please applicants keep in mind Luna is in its early stages of growth and be welcoming to change.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Baristas must be eager to be engaging with our community and giving customers an uplifting and welcoming interaction while building relationships.

Baristas have a good basis knowledge of the coffee essentials;

-Production, Processing, and Roasting

-Coffee Profiling

-Extraction and Brewing

-Grinding

-Espresso-making

-Milk steaming and Latte Art

Baristas must have a strong sense of organization and cleanliness. Must be able to communicate well with coworkers but, self-motivated and highly efficient of working independently throughout the day.

Baristas must have the ability to work under pressure due to heavy foot traffic, while handling multiple tasks with prioritizing attention to detail and quality.

Barista must be flexible to work weekends for special events, holidays, and varying shifts.

Pay: $12/hr + tips
